- Saturday 29th January 2022, 0:00 to 2:00 AEDT (2 hours)

Will there be a service interruption and are we required to do anything?
- All Whispir IT services including the web user interface and all API endpoints will be unavailable during the change period.
- All message requests sent to Whispir during the scheduled maintenance period will not be processed.
- If you expect to be sending messages during the time of the scheduled maintenance we recommend that you make alternative arrangements.
- If you are performing any monitoring of Whispir IT instance API endpoints, depending on the nature and frequency of your monitoring you may receive alerts from your monitoring during the change period. This is to be expected.

What if I have messages scheduled to be sent during this time?
- They will be sent once services have been restored. Alternately, you can change your message scheduling via the platform if you wish to avoid the maintenance period.
- If you need assistance please contact your CSM or our Support Team and they will be happy to assist.

How will we know that the change has completed successfully?
- You will receive a notification when the change has been completed. You will then be able to the login to the Whispir platform and Whispir API endpoints will become available.

Do we need to do any PVT?
- Whispir will be performing a range of operational PVT however we encourage clients to perform their own PVT and contact our Support team in the event of any issues.

What are we doing?
We will be disabling TLS v1.0 and v1.1 for the Whispir Platform accessed through web browsers on 21st March 2022. After this date, the minimum version for TLS protocol will be set to v1.2. This means that if your web browser does not support TLS v1.2, you will no longer be able to access the Whispir Platform through your web browser. If you are not sure what TLS version you are currently using, there is a test link below in the ‘What actions must I take’ section.

Why are we doing this?
It is important for us to disable support for TLS protocol v1.0 and v1.1 to ensure that we can continue to protect our valued customers from security vulnerabilities.

What actions must I take?
To avoid any possible disruption to your Whispir service, before 21st March 2022, follow the simple steps below to ensure that you have a version of the TLS protocol that will be supported:

1. Click on this TLS 1.2 test link to open the SSL/TLS Client Test.

2. After opening the SSL/TLS Client Test, scroll to the heading ‘Protocol Support’.

3. If there is a green tick next to TLS 1.2, you have no more actions to take as this means TLS v1.2 is enabled

4. If you do not receive a green tick next to ‘TLS 1.2’, you need to upgrade your web browser to the latest available version before 21st March 2022 to avoid disruption to your Whispir service. Please refer to your web browser help pages for specific guidance on how to do this.
